Third Mission and Local Activities
In general, public outreach activities carried out by the University serve the purpose of encouraging the application, enhancement, dissemination, transfer of knowledge and technologies in order to contribute to the social, cultural and economic development of society. The Mathematics Department promotes public outreach activities consisting in the organization of orientation events for schools, training for teachers, outreach for the general public and collaboration with the industry. The activities specifically aimed at students and teachers are, given the nature of the Department, the most consolidated and structural. Industries and other productive activities can turn to us to learn about development opportunities or to organize events to favour the encounter the supply and demand of technology and knowledge.
